I love my backyard and I’m constantly looking for new ideas. I scour Pinterest.com and Houzz.com looking for inspiration. But then when generative AI came along, I realized I could use it for visualizing unique landscaping ideas. Generative AI is great for adding creative juices to already creative fields like design and graphics. Garden Design could very well benefitted by generative AI.

I just Googled for an image of a backyard and reimagining different possibilities with it.

I then uploaded the photo to the DreamzAR app and chose to highlight the area I wanted AI to redesign using its Yard Selection Tool. (It’s a drawing brush you can paint with.)

From the left panel, I picked Backyard as the yard type and “Private Courtyard Garden” as garden type (There are 20+ garden types in the dropdown). I didn’t choose any other options this time. I generated few designs, and later I selected few other garden types like Pollinators-Friendly Garden, Drought Tolerant Garden, and Shade Garden.

Here are some of the results… wonderful, aren’t they?

Describe Your Landscaping Idea With Simple Text Prompt

While the app has 20+ Garden Types and other options to choose a set of plant categories, outdoor furniture, masonry options (like walkways, paving stones) and garden aesthetics like Pergola, Arbors etc, you can also describe your ideas in simple text prompts. You can choose from curated prompts or write your own prompt. The prompt guides the AI tool to render the designs accordingly.

Generate Inspiring Ideas Without A Yard Photo
